Group Financial Accountant (Associate)

This role is a 12-month FTC. Location: Dublin or Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim (hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office)

About the Role

The Group Financial Accountant sits at the heart of our finance function, owning the core operational finance processes that keep a fast-growing international SaaS Group running smoothly. This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the month-end close and management accounts, order-to-cash and billing, cash flow forecasting, payroll coordination, and statutory and revenue reporting across our Irish & US entities.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller, the Head of FP&A and the wider finance team, as well as with Customer Success, Sales, Professional Services and HR, ensuring our financial data is accurate, timely and insightful. The role offers significant ownership and visibility, with genuine opportunity to improve and digitalise processes, including through the application of AI tools, as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounts & Month-End Close

  • Own key elements of the month-end close across our Irish and US entities

  • Prepare deferred schedules, fully reconciled to NetSuite at entity and consolidated level

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and aged debtor/creditor reporting

    Order-to-Cash & Billing

  • Manage customer invoicing in NetSuite, ensuring invoices and POs are raised accurately and on time

  • Maintain the ARR register and partner with Sales and Customer Success to keep customer data clean

    Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Maintain core inputs to the Group cash flow forecast, including ARR, services, staff costs, vendors and FX

  • Reconcile forecast to actuals monthly, monitor liquidity, and challenge vendor costs and payment terms

    ARR & Revenue Reporting

  • Maintain the recurring revenue register and reporting of ARR movements, renewal and metrics

    Payroll & Pensions

  • Coordinate Global payroll, including reviews, journals and pension submissions

    Statutory, Tax & Other Reporting

  • Prepare Irish VAT returns, Revenue (ROS) submissions and statutory survey returns

    Travel & Expenses (“T&E”)

  • Consolidate and report monthly T&E to the Senior Management Team

    Process Improvement & AI

  • Identify opportunities to automate and digitalise finance processes, leveraging AI tools and NetSuite functionality

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a Financial Accounting role, ideally in a fast passed SaaS or technology environment.

  • Part-qualified or Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar industry finance role covering month-end close, reconciliations and billing/order-to-cash processes

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, reporting, analysis or business processes

  • Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong Excel skills, including working confidently with formula-driven, multi-tab financial models

  • Understanding of AI tools and their practical application within finance and business processes

  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to see the commercial story behind the numbers

  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, particularly around revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines (month-end, payroll, VAT, surveys) in parallel

  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders
