USA Sales Manager

To support the next stages of our growth, Cora Systems, a leading provider in enterprise level programme and project management software is looking for a proven Enterprise Sales leader with a track record of growing high-performance teams, selling modern PPM solutions to enterprise clients globally.

As USA Sales Manager you will scale a team of talented sales people over the next 24 months while hitting monthly and quarterly sales goals. Your remit will cover sales strategy and operations, and inside sales. You will develop and manage large-scale enterprise deals across the USA and beyond.  This role will also require a significant amount of travel.

We’re looking for an energetic and self-motivated person, a strategic sales leader who is confident in their communication at all levels, including C-level negotiations. Someone with strong ability to drive sales strategy both at a vision and executional levels in the complex and exciting world of Program and Project Management solutions.

The USA Sales Manager will possess the experience of building successful sales operations in SaaS.

Location: Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta or Raleigh NC.

Required experience: 5+ years of business development (tech) or enterprise sales experience

What you’ll do

  • You will drive sales growth for Cora Systems in US market
  • Attain monthly sales goals by winning new greenfield customers from the hundreds of prospects the business currently has, whilst growing a high-performance sales team
  • You will define sales goals and targets and provide accurate and detailed sales forecasting to management and board of directors
  • Define optimal sales force structure and have a proactive approach to new sales hires
  • Working closely with the Sales team you will drive the adoption of CRM software across the organisation and put in place the infrastructure and processes to support the success of the sales and lead generation functions
  • Set the standard for delivering client presentations, including bringing the marketing acumen, and technical abilities required to win complex PPM deals
  • Work alongside the CEO to Develop GMT strategy to support the strategic growth of the business in the US market
  • Develop and maintain the commercial offering of our solutions (pricing, terms and conditions etc.)

You should have:

  • A superb track record: You will have built and managed high-performing sales teams, consistently exceeded personal sales quotas in a similar Enterprise SaaS PPM business.
  • Demonstrated success building strong partnerships with global Business Transformation leaders and prior experience of working in a similar business would be an advantage.
  • You are enthusiastic about fast-growing and changing environments and are capable of absorbing and managing high volumes of leads, while driving strategic deals to close
  • You lead through influence rather than authority, are a coach and team player, and can motivate a talented sales team to over achieve their quotas

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop and close new enterprise opportunities. Leverage industry trends to understand customer pain points and tailor solutions based on customer needs
  • Conduct meetings with C-level individuals and confidently speak as a leader in this space.
  • Manage operations of our Biz team provide and regular reporting across accounts and present to management as needed
  • Identify trends and implications of execution (positive or negative) to drive efficiency and optimize processes
  • Partner with product team to provide feedback on trends and identify opportunities to deliver greater value to customers
  • Communicate project developments and draft strategic recommendations on a regular basis
  • Be a strong advocate for the company vision.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development (tech) or enterprise sales experience
  • Proven track record of building revenue and exceeding targets
  • Exceptionally strong track record in business development with proven performance by achieving and exceeding aggressive sales targets
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams (e.g. with product, data, marketing) and efficiently to get things done
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • A strong team player who enjoys collaborating, asking for help when necessary and getting things done without an ego
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet with partners and enterprise customers
  • Focused on long term sustainable growth, not short-term wins. Builds meaningful client relationships
  • Has small start-up scrappiness and an ability to absorb growing pains
  • Tenure: Not a job switcher but a category builder. 2+ yrs tenure in the last few roles
  • Hard working, humble and collaborative with bundles of integrity
  • Fire in the belly: Not an ‘end of lifecycle’ person

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of procurement processes in global organisations
  • Experience in various Program and Project Management methodologies
  • Proven experience in managing small teams
