“How ProjectVision helps Derbyshire NHS Foundation Trust”
Derbyshire NHS Foundation Trust, is a community and mental health services provider, with over 2,500 staff who provide a range of services from alcohol & drugs substance abuse to learning disability services. With 25-30 projects live at any given time as well as continuously evaluating projects from last year, Derbyshire NHS Foundation Trust often runs up to 60 projects at one time.
Some of these projects are transactional while others are concerned with transformation and highly complex change projects. There can be a number of different factors driving a project to succeed from financial to changes in quality or even dealing with a higher volume of people coming through the door.

Excerpts from the interview
When reflecting back on the organization prior to ProjectVision, Ifti explains;
“Go back two or three years before Cora, there was no single management system at all for projects. Project managers would go off and do what they thought was best for their projects. We centrally had no way of collating that information. It would not be surprising to know that projects weren’t completing”. He also explained how there was double counting and it was clear it was time for an internal change.
“Imagine running 60 projects on an Excel database” explains Ifti, “it kept falling over”.
Ifti recalls their reasons for choosing Cora stating the fact that they could change the look of the Cora system and modify it to suit their needs was a really attractive feature.
Ifti believes that they have a much more resilient system using Cora, which is configured in a way that walks project managers through the process. He also explains that Cora provides them with a single repository for all information regarding the programme and projects as well as keeping track of all evidence such as minutes of meetings and extracts from the ledger for example.
