NHS Digital Migrates to Cora PPM For Managing Global Digital Exemplar Program

Media Release – Dublin, Ireland – 1 November 2018:

Cora Systems, a leading provider of enterprise portfolio and project management solutions, has announced that NHS Digital will migrate to its new Cora PPM solution.

The organisation has been using Cora software as the engine that helps manage its Global Digital Exemplar programme so that NHS Digital and a range of NHS Trusts across the UK can more effectively manage and spend their yearly budgets. They need the Cora PPM platform to get a better handle on progress and financials, and for governance and assurance – to help report up the chain to senior management.

The enriched product functionality in the new Cora PPM platform includes Mobile apps for Android and iOS that lets project managers and senior management access and update key project activity from anywhere; new, improved role-based dashboards that are visual in nature, which makes it easy for management to quickly decipher complex project and portfolio data; as well as a new progress module, which transforms the platform’s reporting capability.

Mark Cain, GDE Programme Manager at NHS Digital said: “We have seen the current ProjectVision tool being adopted and becoming business as usual for aspiring Global Digital Exemplar Trusts reporting on their progress on this flagship programme; Trusts are really beginning to see the benefit of using the tool and the quality of reporting and associated MI, dashboards etc. has been positively received by our senior stakeholders. NHS Digital are keen to move quickly to migrate to the Cora PPM platform as demos of the system (to internal stakeholders and to those Trusts wanting to adopt the tool for their portfolios) have highlighted significant improvements to the user interface and user experience, supporting our aspiration to roll out Cora PPM across a number of areas within NHS Digital and other NHS organisations associated with the Provider Digitisation Programme ”

Paul Rees, UK Country Manager, Cora Systems said: “It’s a significant endorsement for Cora Systems to know that NHS Digital has decided to migrate to the new Cora PPM platform. It validates the work our R&D team has put in over the last couple of years. We’ve added significant functionality to our solution, including the workflow engine, the benefits module and the project and programme dashboards. And the new user experience has brought greater consistency. For a client like NHS Digital, it means they can roll out the system to new users with minimal training, and we’re future proofed to 2020 and beyond.”
