Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland – 12 October 2018:
Cora Systems, a project and portfolio management software company that is headquartered in Carrick-on-Shannon, CoLeitrim, has released a video in which its employees describe why working in the largest software company in the northwest of Ireland is an enjoyable place to work.
Founded in 1999, Cora Systems is proud of the working environment it has created for its staff. To capture the company’s working culture and spirit, it wanted to make a corporate video that would be a bit different so it hit on the idea of a Cora Cubs theme. What better way to describe the “bear” essentials of a workplace than getting bears to tell the story, its employees reckoned.
The result is a corporate film that will possibly catch people’s attention and make them curious about Cora. The company wanted to provide a snapshot of what it’s really like to work with them – that Cora is a fun and innovative place to come to work every day, right in the heart of a picturesque town, with short commutes, and a great social scene once the work tools are put down at the end of the day.
The film Cora produced was shot “on location” in Carrick-on-Shannon. It was made by staff members, and orchestrated in particular by its company’s HR team and marketing department. They got some outside help from a local Carrick-on-Shannon based video production company, Duignan Media, and the wonderful puppeteers Little Gem Puppets from down the road in Co. Mayo.
“I think part of Cora’s culture would be you work hard but you still have fun at the same time. It does mean the world to get a ‘thank you’ at the end of the day – that people acknowledge you’ve put in the effort and that you’re adding value to the company,” said Noelle McGuinness, Project Manager, Cora Systems.
